Do you have the link to website for comments?
17.09.2025 17:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's a long shot - but I saw someone on here post about a tool to help with USDA COI forms. But I've lost the link! Does anyone who sees this still have the link to the tool to generate COI forms on github?
17.09.2025 14:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Lucky you! The time I got stuck it was late, only one grocery store open, and pantry moths everywhere ๐ and I needed to eat...
17.09.2025 01:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Try the freezer for 30 days. I had great luck getting the (insert expletive of choice) out of a container I wanted to keep inside that way. Pantry moths are awful, good luck!
17.09.2025 01:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh that is good! One of my favorites is about Van der Waals forces - if you are out at a restaurant with your friends, you lean in a little to chat (weakly attractive) but if someone gets so close they spit on someone else's plate when they talk, it's very weird (strongly repulsive)
09.09.2025 00:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I would love to see this! I'd be willing to share what I do for protein structure and function. This seems very memorable!
09.09.2025 00:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Breastfeeding, ventilation and air filters, and things like vaccine mandates all help. But I live in Florida, so the only thing I can influence is the first one. I have a friend in another state who was able to donate a high quality air filter to the daycare classroom
08.09.2025 05:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oof. Good luck! I finally went with just a few slides then run the brick-breaking activity. I figure an activity >> then lecture on a topic I don't love for learning. qubeshub.org/community/gr...
I hope your class goes well!
Is it possible to make an additional donation to purchase a duck? I love this, and would totally buy a used quack-o-gram for display
30.08.2025 11:53 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0If you are willing to ship media mail, there are a few I'm interested in!
26.08.2025 23:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Fortunately, most students are just trying to find a place to study. I wish there were a way to explain it helps to personalize each email, but the best I can do is teach my undergrads better...
21.08.2025 12:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Anyone else. Apparently this meant I was horribly biased and incompetent. I pointed out that English is necessary at US universities, and got a very rude reply. That one I wound up sharing the entire thread with the graduate coordinator to ensure no one else in the department tried to make an offer
21.08.2025 05:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sure. I've had one who responded with why I had to have funding and went 4 deep on replies, then waited a week to resend the original email. That ended when I blocked them. The worst was one whose original email had such atrocious grammar I suggested having someone help edit it before contacting 1/2
21.08.2025 05:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sadly, it gets worse. Sometimes I worry about replying even with "I am sorry I don't have funding at this time" because I've had some problem interactions
21.08.2025 01:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0As someone who started in 2022, I got about 3/week at first. Significant uptick since grant funding became messy in the US, so 1/day is about what I am seeing now. Most are awful because the email makes it clear they didn't read the department website or anything about what I do.
21.08.2025 00:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Today is my birthday (turning 29), which is the only time all year that I ask for a repost ๐ฟ
I hope you get lost in fantasy worlds as much as I do ๐ฎ
I'm an assistant professor at University of Florida and I study the infant gut microbiome, including how diet impacts antimicrobial resistance
31.07.2025 00:52 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Is there a way that those abroad can help buy rice for the bottles?
27.07.2025 13:43 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Anybody know how to start petitions to amend the FL state constitution? I'd love to see an amendment prohibiting the use of state resources for federal immigration action - no money, no cop support, no use of state owned facilities... but I don't know where to start. Thanks!
26.07.2025 21:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Your breastmilk will best balance your baby's tummy! No need to make that more complicated. If a doctor (the MD kind) is worried about an allergic disease or reflux disease (not just normal baby reflux), then worry about diet. Absent that, breastmilk for the win!
19.07.2025 16:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0But that is speculation on the cause, but diet can change breastmilk
19.07.2025 16:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I looked it up, and papaya can contribute to butyric acid levels, and that stuff stinks! So if you ate papaya, it likely increased your butyric acid level, which could've meant a little more in your milk
19.07.2025 15:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Okay! First, breastfed babies are less picky than formula fed babies because some of the flavor compounds from what mom eats end up in breastmilk. What probably happened is some of what was in the papaya wound up in your breastmilk. I'd be surprised if an entire functional enzyme made it into milk.
19.07.2025 15:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0As an FYI - I am a scientist who studies infant gut microbiome, so I spend a lot of time thinking about supplements and lactation. If you want the science translated to plain English from lactmed, please DM me
19.07.2025 10:42 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Glad I could help - chronic pain while nursing is no joke and deserves to be treated more urgently than it is. My little one and I wish you and your little one all the best.
19.07.2025 10:35 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ginger is also an option, and since you mentioned nursing, do you know about the LactMed database? You can check the safety of drugs and supplements there.

30.05.2025 01:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 01. Specifies type of presentation - is it a research talk or poster?
2. Talks are usually a little more preliminary than, say, a paper. So a key aspect is to generate questions and discussion at the end to make the work stronger
No - it depends on what the risk of death was without medicaid.
