the problem with being a game consultant is that i just want to, sometimes, say to a client that, in my professional opinion, this game "fucks tremendously" but i am told that i should not do this

anyway, uh, lost the plot there, but make games! or, even, just make stuff!! art! music! videos! mods! software! I know it can feel hard at times especially if you've fallen out of doing it, but getting back into making things and refocusing your creativity is the most rewarding thing in the world.

To cap off the absurdity, I feel guilty as I watch the external and distant world around me get harsher and crueler, while contrastingly everything close to home improves. I know that's not my fault, and that I should enjoy the good moments as they exists, but it can feel hard to do.

Its good! Of course! But I do wonder if some of these feelings will ever change. Will it get old? Will it settle in and not feel so distant? Or will I just become accustomed to the absurdity of it all?

I'm not even sure where I am going with this, I think I just need to scream into the void a bit.

Committing to a game project, to WK, I think radically deflected the trajectory of my life. I feel a little disconnected from it all, like things keep on happening around me which are theoretically life changing, but because they take so long to fully form I haven't felt the effects yet.

One of the weirdest parts of my last half year is how... absurd it can be at times. Something just happened which is so far outside of anything I ever expected in my life and it all just feels so surreal. I cant even talk about it!! And this keeps happening, in both big and small ways.

White Knuckle? never heard of it, sounds dumb

Unlike my game, White Knuckle, a roguelike climbing game where you commit crimes and escape from eldritch abominations. Sadly, no space ships, but it does have horrors beyond human imagination!

It's uh, been eating my time for the past year haha. Wild!

The scene is set in space, and backdropped by a green and blue ice giant. In the foreground, a long, thin spacecraft carrying rocket pods and a laser turret dives into the giant's rings, flanked by two similar craft further into the background. Livery is largely black, with white stripes and caps, as well as a splash of green representing the colors of Arkgneisis, although a yellow eye has been painted onto the hull close to the midships.

B- Still don't get why we don't just go in.
A- Because, this isn't our space, we don't make the rules here.
B- Isn't it, though?
C- Not according to the charter log, not unless-
