I'm currently transcribing interviews and I'm seriously impressed by aTrain (business-analytics.uni-graz.at/de/forschung...). It uses offline Whisper AI models to transcribe audio data - saves money, time, and keeps data safe. #qualitative #interviews

In this paper with my political science colleagues, we show how the concept of intersubjective empathy (accurately recognising the emotions of others) can predict attitudes towards Syrian refugees in the UK. A new paper by Penic, Elcheroth and @rezartabilali.bsky.social is very elegant: combines qual vignettes about diverse conflict experiences with large-scale survey data to show that awareness of diverse conflict experiences produces social cohesion when soc. norms allow sharing of these experiences.
