I'm trying to remain cheerful, at least we had a bit of sun and blue sky this morning before it went again 😆

Got ready to go out for a walk and then it started to rain 🙄😑

It looks rather nice where you are!
We've got blue sky and sweeping clouds, so can't complain compared to yesterday's deep-grey rain.

We certainly are not 😂

You would think two days in a row with no rain shouldn't be too much to ask for across several months.

My birthday isn't too far away and I would love it if:
- The rain stops for that weekend/week.
- The only medication that has ever worked significantly on my chronic migraines arrives back in pharmacies after being completely out of stock in the UK since December ✌️

A good day: sun and blue sky, visiting family, petting dogs, eating cake from my favourite bakery (picked up for me by @danfoto.bsky.social), a trip to our favourite Asian supermarket, drive home through beautiful and sunlit countryside and homemade ramen for dinner.

I like this one a lot, magnolia is one of my favourites.

Exactly and even documentary photography has it.

Could be nerves of course but it did seem odd it was almost all of them.

I did wonder about the condition of the ice but assume it would be carefully checked over for something as big as the Olympics!

Just to make clear. I was never nowhere near close to what they can do. 😄 But I was a happy amateur for 5 years.

I can't watch figure skating without muscle memory kicking in, I just want to be on the ice again. Watching the Olympics takes me right back to that feeling of landing a successful jump.

Making photographs sounds nice and describes better what it actually is. It's not just holding what is there but arranging it and making something with and of it.

As it happens we're having Chinese takeaway today and going to an Asian supermarket tomorrow for a cupboard top-up, so it should be a nice weekend.

I've been in a reading slump lately but earlier this week I had an epiphany and digged out 'Karitas' Vol. 2 from my book cart of unreads, lent to me by my mum.
It's the perfect distraction, a story about a middle aged artist in post-war Iceland trying to make art against the passing of time.

There's semi-transparent clouds today with blue behind it, I've had a full night's sleep and it's Friday, which means I have the morning off before work, so I've already had a slow cup of green tea with mint.
