We are at a strange place in history indeed, when half the states are suing the federal government to get monies already allotted by Congress to feed starving families.

The numbers are sobering. Especially as thousands are actually working in grocery stores and Walmarts, surrounded by food they can not afford. More than a million four hundred thousand. Do those who are MAGA realise what they've done to themselves?
Career prosecutors were put on leave, allegedly for stating the truth about J6. The Administration is working overtime to erase history. Itβs incumbent upon all of us to document truth, preserve historical record, and stand firm against efforts to replace facts.

29.10.2025 17:25 β π 2552 π 687 π¬ 28 π 19I looked it up once. SNAP takes 2% of the US budget and 93% of the money goes to the actual poor people instead of to the bureaucracy. So it's kind of like if you paid $1000 in taxes, you spent $20 on the poor of which they got to keep $18.60, and you spent $166.66 on the military.

SNAP targets those who are in the greatest of need. It is not easy to obtain, and it is often not sufficient to assist with building a balanced, healthy diet. This is a good overview of the program:

When corruption becomes endemic, democracy dies from the inside out. Trumpβs familyβs grift is teaching Americaβs elites that power can be bought, just as it is in Putinβs Russia and OrbΓ‘nβs Hungary, and itβs already distorting our economy.
In America, as here in Britain, there seems to be a war not against poverty but against poor people.
What is it that pisses some people off so much about using tax pounds or dollars to provide folk with the absolute, basic essentials of life?
Contest every race. Have a candidate in every race on every ballot in every county in every state.
Run even if you know you canβt win. Run because you know you canβt win.
No seat uncontested. Bring the fight to every ballot.
No money for Medicaid or SNAP or museums or schools or sidewalks or gun violence prevention or art or libraries.
Always money for war.
The Republican message: Let us jack up poor and middle-class people's health care costs or we'll let poor people starve.

The GOP really wants to have this majority during the 2028 presidential race.
Canβt put the stakes any more clearly than that. boltsmag.org/pennsylvania...
The GOP seems to be delighted to ensure that 42 million Americans go without food assistance AND experience an atrocious increase in medical insurance costs. It is a reprehensible lack of moral character. Their efforts to deflect blame are puerile, akin to school bullying. It's shameful.
