I don’t think this is a policy decision in this case. I think this is because, on this same day, the US military DSIP weather satellites will stop delivering data (they are EOL). No replacements are planned. (That’s just general disfunction though. Last admin couldn’t be bothered either.)

Hoping today is a good day for Raspi-NOAA. This is in California. It's a control for the Colorado setup that was, in fact, hindered by interference from a faulty antenna at a local radio station in the same business park.

From 2010-2016 it was like what I imagined Bell Labs or Xerox Parc to have been like. It was a dream to help design Search, Android, TV, Assistant, Watch, and so many projects in their infancy. Pretty sure it doesn't feel that way anymore.
