People who cheat on their partners, act surprised when the relationship ends, & then make their entire online existence about trying to be the victim bc"you just don't understand" as if they're somehow smarter or more entitled to do whatever they want are actual trash. Holy Moly Stromboli.

A pen and ink drawing in a lined journal of the head, neck, and start of the shell on a box turtle. They are a lovely mix of greens, yellows, and browns with some small spots. They also have piercing orange eyes and a beak that looks so sharp!

I drew a box turtle In my journal today & I’m pretty pleased with how it came out. I don’t really draw anything realistic ever so this even sort of looking like a turtle was fairly surprising. Everyone say wazzup to Donny. #WAZZUPDONNY

When you press 3 to speak with any of John Fetterman’s staff on any of his 4 voicemails, it says “goodbye” and hangs up and I think that’s enough for his constituents to take to court.

A film photo down a long hallway with rooms off each side and a black door with a window in the top at the end and what I think was an electrical box. The building was an abandoned mental hospital with a basement and a second floor that was almost entirely rotted through. The walls were plaster and crumbling with various layers of peeling paint. The floors along the walls were piled with crumbling building detritus. When you walked it would crunch underfoot. I used to take baby steps into urbex (urban exploration) and would sometimes stay the night here just to see what it was like. The structure has long since been torn down.

A slightly sepia toned black and white photo of an old worn headstone that reads, “Children of David J & Susannah Thomas
David John
1851 - 1855
James
1856 - 1857
Mary Jane
1858 - 1860
Calusha

It is surrounded closely by other headstones crowded in with some trees in the far distance.

A film photo of some powerlines, the silhouette of the distant trees, and a large sky of sweeping clouds and the setting sun. Taken in Apollo, Pennsylvania on film (sadly specifics to settings/film are long gone) on a Pentax K1000. The entire sky is white, blue, grey, and a warm sunset in yellows and oranges.

A digital photo taken with a Nikon D5600 of the silhouettes of powerlines, trees, and the tops of houses with a beautiful purple and orange sunset. Small sparse wispy clouds are scattered across the sky.

These 2 photos are approx 30 years apart. The blue sunset photo taken on film w/a Pentax K1000 in 1995 & the orange/purple sunset w/my Nikon D5600. I’ve been taking photos of textures, abstracts, cemeteries, powerlines, & the sky for 30 yrs & that feels very nice.

Thank you. Yeah, just absolutely heartbreaking. The adjoining cemetery is full of Influenza deaths from 1918 - 1921. I know a cemetery is a place of loss and death but it feels especially intense when you see so many so close together in a family.

A photo of the Star Trek universe character Counselor Deanna Troi where her head is her own but her body is made of cake. She looks scared. Like in that Tom Petty music video that unlocked a new fear in me as a young Nix.

“Computer, omelette du fromage with…” I will say it tastes better than what I imagine a cellular peptide cake with mint frosting might taste.

Nine-panel comic titled “Sunrises” by Grant Snider—watercolor dawn scenes over houses, trees, and streetlights in pink-orange hues; captions say each sunrise is unique and encourage getting up to watch the sky.

LLM-style AI is for people who want to be writers without writing and be artists without making art. These botlicking technosloppers will never understand the beauty, the frustration, the surprise, the catharsis, the revelation, the deep satisfaction and joy of creating real, human-made art.

A photo of a beautiful 3 egg omelette with red bell pepper, yellow onion, fresh spinach, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, chopped green onion, and sriracha. All on top of a share black plate that is printed to look like the computer console screens of the Star Trek ship from Star Trek The Next Generation. On the plate is also two pieces of toasted wheat bread with a little butter. IN the background is a built in set of shelves (from an old closed off window when our nearly 100 yr old house had an addition built on) with a bright yellow wallpaper with scrolling leaves and branches and various fruits and birds on it. On the shelves are a bunch of spices and hanging mugs.

This AM I made what is quite possibly the nicest omelette I’ve ever made. I’d say about 80% of the time I end up having a scramble bc I mess it up. Today it came out lovely. Red bell pepper, yellow onion, fresh spinach, & egg w/a little green onion chopped, shredded sharp cheddar, & sriracha.

IT'S '6-7', COOPER. A GENERATION ALPHA TREND. WHAT THEY CALL A 'MAY-MAY'. IT'S AN ORPHANED SIGNIFIER, NO SIGNS ATTACHED. ONE COULD CALL IT DADAIST, BUT SOMME SAY IT'S TOO STUPID TO BE DADA. IT'S ANTI-MEANING, ANTI-HUMOUR, BUT DAMN IF THOSE KIDS DON'T FIND IT A CRACK-UP.
