From out to my unsupportive wife who is now my ex and depressed about what could never be 2 years before any feminizing hormones (39) to almost 4 years of feminizing hormones and much happier living as myself full time (45)

Moved away from Texas to hopefully have a better situation eventually, but I am not there yet. Need help to get through the next weeks while I have no work and only have about $10 total.

I moved to Denver 2 weeks ago to start over once again in a place that has more promise for living and being trans. I need a little help to get through the weeks until I can start a job and get my first paycheck. Any amount helps keep me in food.

We're raising money for my friend Zara X, she's a wonderful young Black trans woman, trying to achieve asylum as a US citizen under threat from the current regime's anti-Black and anti-trans policies. For transparency, I'm a Canadian activist with 30+ years experience in helping trans life be improved in Canada. I am not being paid for this work; I do it as service to my community, and continue living on my own small but sufficient fixed income in Ontario. We're raising primarily right now for living expenses. Zara is not yet able to work legally in Canada, and the shelters in Vancouver are all wait-listed. So we need enough to find her a room in a safe place in or around Vancouver, and hopefully keep her in that place until some more long-term geared-to-income housing becomes available. Zara arrived here in January, having married her new husband (a Canadian) in December. The intent was to make a spousal support effort to get her permanent residence. Some private conflict led to their separation in June. Her husband is no longer able to provide a safe space for her to live.
