The "smug urban liberal that pays for everything else" that I hate the most are NOVA residents. NOVA doesn't get a pass on this. The wealth of Northern Virginia comes from Federal largesse, not industry or (private) finance. In this way, NOVA is at least as parasitic as the red areas 2/*

Lot of states have a populated blue urban core that turns a state blue in the whole. That's just the nature of it. Inevitably people remark about NYC paying for the rest of the state, Chicago paying for the rest of IL, etc. all fair comments.

So the hope is to turn liberal arts college back into something only the elite attend. Gutting colleges to the point that only the elite have access to the humanities, it reverses all those pesky questions asked about The System and puts control of the narrative back in the hands of the elite.

I have half a theory that there is a lot of hate that "Consensus History" ended when liberal arts became more widely available. By this I mean starting w/Land-grants transitioning from glorified trade schools + boomer college attendance.
