But also, gosh, our colleagues in NOAA and across the federal government have been under a constant barrage of attacks, and everyone is incredibly short-staffed.

It's hard to imagine this kind of situation will improve with continued depletion of staff across the public sector weather enterprise ☹️

I totally get the frustration, but it always annoys me when it's on air like that. Like, what does that change in the moment? You have precious little air time, spend it warning people about the storms and impacts.

Have that other conversation offline with NWS, SPC, etc.

I'm watching the local news and seeing a TV met express, hit after hit, that they're incredibly frustrated there wasn't a severe thunderstorm watch issued for Central Kentucky, despite several hail-producing severe t-storms and warnings in their viewing area.

I haven't been on social media much these days. It's been insanely difficult to process everything that's happening and all of the anger, sadness, and frustration that I've felt.
