So we have a bunch of people who all stand for different things all trying to fill an empty husk. Sometimes it works. More often it doesn't. But those people believe so strongly in their thing that they don't think they need to try to persuade people to believe in it also.

I think the important thing I'm trying articulate is that our leaders should align with as many of our needs and beliefs as possible, not just "better than the other one". It's one of the reasons I back STAR and ranked choice voting.

That is a salient point, and important one. Microblogging makes nuance difficult but that isn't an excuse I will hide behind. My issue is that she was slow to endorse even a lukewarm public condemnation of Israel's actions. She may not have had authority, but she had a platform.

I'm not, and you know that. I can oppose Trump and still think Harris was insufficient to the task of presidency. I still did vote for her, and yes I would have vastly preferred her to Trump. But I want more than "better than Trump". I don't think that is unreasonable.

She still backed a genocide and campaigned with Republicans. We can do better.

The reason we write things is to express some sort of meaning, to pass along important information, to convey a human emotion or sensation. It doesn't matter whether the writing is grammatically correct, or vividly expressed. It matters that it came from you. That is the point of writing. If you ask a Chatbot to write something for you, you are being fundamentally unhuman and foundationally dishonest. I am not going to bend on this one. If it requires an Al bot for you to express something to me, you and I are probably not actually friends.
