Even Richard Lynn’s racist IQ research hasn’t been retracted, and dude has admitted to cherry picking data to support his racist and misogynistic goals of proving that white men are the smartest and deserve all the power and money.

Thinking that the research of the main dude couldn’t be done without him, and that these specific people HAVE to do it or it won’t get done. That’s not how research works. You publish your findings and someone takes the baton and comes up with a new study brining it forward. Wash, rinse, repeat.

People don’t realize how hate twists you and destroys your soul. The thing that I could not suspend my disbelief on after three seasons and dozens of dead bodies at an Antarctic research base, a container ship research base in the South Pacific, and a Saharan research base is this:

Spent the weekend binging all 3 seasons of “The Head.” I can upon it randomly wanting a show set in a snowy climate. It takes place at first in Antarctica. The first season was really good, the next two were ok. I totally get the themes of when you go for revenge/vengeance, need to dig two graves.

Apparently there is a big scam going on right now targeting American banks. The scammers are somehow spoofing the real bank phone numbers. Don’t trust any phone calls you get from your banks until this is figured out!

I attended a historical art talk, and there was this gorgeous engraved Portuguese olive oil tasting spoon from the early 1700s in Georgia.

Did you know that olive was the fat of choice in the colonial South, and then it was discovered that it used the same land as cotton, so people were encouraged to raise pigs instead for lard? There are olive groves popping up again today.

I took the money I had been giving to a state paper (I now get it for free from work) and gave it to NPR. Love my new mug.

@bsky.app this is the issue we have with you banning @jessiegender that people like Rowling can literally call for the eradication of a minority group but when someone from that group claps back you ban them.
Acts like that will doom this app.

I had a random librarian give me the best compliment. I offered to give her feedback, and the promptly fell down the rabbit hole of orientations. She nudged me, and I told her that I was sorry I hadn’t emailed her and explained in detail my opinion about something. Apparently I made her laugh!
