There are definitely some quality of life issues that get overlooked because it was so unique at the time (controls are... not ideal), but GoldenEye gave us HALO, which has basically informed everything since. I did get an idea for a Summertime Funtime episode thinking about this... 🧐

It was the first real FPS on a console, had a great multiplayer mode just as 4 player became the norm, AND the missions changed based on difficulty so the single player had great replayability. It is probably one of the most important games of all time, which is crazy for a movie tie-in product.
