This week in 1988: 1,000+ ACT UP demonstrators shut down the FDA headquarters, demanding (and eventually winning) action on developing HIV/AIDS treatments. ACT UP's militant and creative actions always included powerful visual artwork, and paved the way for movements in the decades to come.

I don't know of any of this will help, but... just know a lot of writers out there struggle with writing, or even hate writing. You're part of the writer family no matter what 💖

The more complex and different the idea, the harder it is to get it out of you and on paper.

What I'm getting at is, if you haven't already tried this, maybe try writing something that you do no research for, and that you're not allowed to do research for. Just something that comes out of you.

And finally, I feel like the most common similarity between writers is writers block.

I heard about this writing exercise where you just freely write for 10 minutes, whatever you want. It could be nonsense. And at the end of the 10 minutes you delete it, no matter what. So there's literally zero pressure for it to be good. (I might try that one of these days when work is less busy.)

I feel a bit similar, but in my case I think I'm too critical of my own writing. If you're a good analyzer, you know what good writing is. Same for me, but if my writing is not on that same level, I over-criticize. What I actually need is practice, and lots of it, to get good at writing.
