That’s the one. The ugly building that had a decorative spire made part of the design so it could be taller than the Hancock building. They couldn’t get away with making the spire tall enough to be taller than the Sears Tower.

The first video I saw of ICE dealt with them chasing a bike messenger. I know the location well. It’s one block away from the tacky tower. Believe me, many of us Chicagoans miss seeing the Sun Times building that used to be on that little spit of land. Btw, the retail space has never been full.

Haven’t gotten one in a while, but I was getting ones for unpaid tolls in IL starting about 2 yrs ago. A few problems with this.
1) I have an E-Z pass & account that would refill if under $10.00.
2) At the time it started, I was (& still am) living in TN.
3) Haven’t been on a toll road in 6 yrs.

Ask her what Top 40 radio was like in the ‘60s & ‘70s. I listened to songs in Spanish, French, Italian, French, & German. If it was a hit on any chart, it was a Billboard 100 song then.

My uncle was exposed to Agent Orange. One of the lucky ones, didn’t develop cancer. Still got a variety of health issues from it, but only as he got older. Suspicion is that his 3 kids, born after he came back, were seriously underweight at full term due to that. Fortunately all 4 healthy adults.

It was deemed ICE & Homeland Security were essential services. But paying our military, along with many other crucial functions, was deemed non-essential. Basically, anything the orange turd deemed important is considered “essential”, i.e., golf outings

My parents, grandparents, aunts, & uncles all had to pass the citizenship exam. Don’t think speaking was on it, but basic reading may have been. My one grandpa never really spoke English, but he worked at a place where half the employees spoke German, so no problem for him. Late ‘50s.

If stores can put up 1/3rd Christmas decorations to 2/3rd Halloween decorations day after Labor Day, switching to 80% Christmas/20% Halloween Oct 1st, than you can watch Christmas movies starting September, if so desired. Every so often there will be Christmas in July, so, Christmas all year long.

That’s why I haven’t seen it since it first came out.

So, anyone from CA, can you give me an idea as to how you get a $3000/month (easiest time frame to look at). Most people I know, whether here in TN, WI, or IL, pay around $3000/year. Btw, all the homes I’m referencing are between 1000 & 1600 square feet.

Usage is about the same as in Illinois, but bill is significantly cheaper. Not because of solar or wind, but because a good portion is hydroelectric. You have to look at the companies supplying & the upgrades your payment provides.

In other words, no point of reference. For reference, our electric bill one month over the summer was <$150. But, home is ~1600 square feet, 2 people, use tv rarely, I stream on my tablet or use my kindle to read. Hubby is on computer most of day & is a ham radio operator.

They discussed their respective electric bills. TN rep mentioned his is $200/$300, depending on weather. CA rep was shocked. Said his is $3000 & that INCLUDES using solar power. Now, there was never a mention of the time unit involved, size of space, if it was a home, square footage involved.

Went to the VEC (Volunteer Energy Cooperative) shareholders meeting held in Crossville TN this morning. They supply electrical power to over 100,000 customers. TN state rep mentioned he was discussing various issues & got around to electric costs.

I like the crispier variety if oatmeal cookie, with or without glaze. If I have to have a chewy one, I prefer date or fig filled ones, gives a little extra moisture to it. If I have to eat a plain oatmeal cookie, then no chocolate chips, raisins, or other dried fruit in them

But, since it’s his middle name, should go by Ed. Realized that with Edward “Ted” Kennedy. Sounds better than Ed, but I believe that Rafael is more of an Ed Norton than a Ted Kennedy. But than he did leave a girlfriend in trouble in a river back in the day. (Too lazy to get the spellings, sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️)

I grew up in the ‘60s in Chicago. Top 40 radio consisted of English, Spanish, German, French, & Italian language songs. In addition there were ballads, pop, rock, soul, R&B, alt, religious, & novelty songs, plus anything that was a hit on any chart, not just Billboard. If the beat’s good, who cares?

Decades ago in college, the escalator from the el platform to street level was broken. So hundreds of college students started lumbering up the stairs. So many went up, the formerly up escalator turned into a down one. Double time up the down staircase.

Supposed to go to FL next June. Don’t know if doctor will recommend blood titer or will just re-vaccinate me. Will also be getting whatever else may be recommended. Last MMR was 1991, last polio booster was ~1970. MMR was due to Dr not wanting to check titer. Had measles at 5, missed the vaccine.

May you have the same luck I do, but without the weight to-yo. Same for me 12 yrs ago. I’ve kinda yo-yo’d over the years, but have stayed below that high. I’ll drop weight, go up, but stay below my newest high. Then start again.

My mom has been claiming my whole life (& I’m 68), that illegal aliens get free healthcare, free housing, an allowance, &, if you’re 65+, you get SS immediately. And, her family, following the rules, got nothing & had to scrape by. Yeah, mom’s an R, possibly trumper.
