I got to visit a magical spot I used to enjoy in the 80s & 90s- Eldorado Springs pool. It was so healing and restorative! It was built in 1905 and has the artesian spring water with minimum of chlorine and the pool was restored a few years ago but keeps the historic character.

It looks so good! Making your own bread is the best.

I have had the same thought with some loved ones after they died.

We love to make homemade pizza. I make the crust and bongo handles the toppings.

Great photo, Eliot. I was a Naropa workstudy that summer in Publicity and helped Sue Seecof set up a press conference with David Hockney. I don’t think I got to see MF but that’s great to hear!

The NYT obit was so good. I learned many things I hadn’t known about her rich life. Did she ever come to Naropa’s summer writing program?

Yes

She refinished many tables (dining room table, side boards, dressers) and some chairs. The chemicals were awful and it was very messy work but she could do it in our barn. The before and after was always magical to see! We live in Pennsylvania and there were many auctions and estate sales.

Had some lovely family time for the holidays. Our daughter Althea visited. We had some cozy time at home with her and bongo playing guitar; made some nice meals; saw holiday lights at our city’s garden; and played with our dog Bo Diddley. Nice to have a few days off and stay home! Althea’s pix.

I have had this exact same quandary! With knitting or beading or sewing projects I often bring. Or if I don’t I’m sad I can’t work on them. My compromise is usually bringing the smallest size project I can.
