I think this is a good opportunity to bring up the time I was making a game for someone in gamemaker and then a few months into development he wanted to scrap all the work I made and restart work in Unity

he also wanted me to make a Papers Please style minigame

I'm starting to realize how small my comfort zone is with games.

It took me years to get around to playing Civ. I didn't get into warframe until I had friends to carry me through content. I still haven't gotten around to learning mtg or playing the halo 1-3 fully.

And I know people will say that's just how jrpgs are.

However:
1) Most jrpgs don't reach 100 hours in a single playthrough
2) Most jrpgs don't have voice acting, and I can read faster than voice actors can say their lines

If a game has multiple moments where cutscenes go on for so long that my controller turns off due to inactivity, then that might signify that the game might be too long

I think playing both persona 5 royal and infinite wealth over the course of 4 months is starting to take a toll on me.

Persona 5 alone has highlighted a lot of issues I have with story driven games like these. That game felt like the sloth scene in Zootopia.

Are Windows and Fedora on the same drive?

What distro were you using? Mint has been really solid on my gaming pc. Even when I had a gtx 1060, it was able to hold up when running games like marvel rivals and need for speed heat.
I haven't had experience with the rest. I heard kdenlive was good for video editing.
