A 3-by-3 icon moodboard for Unveiling the Stars, featuring the following images from left to right: the Gapstow Bridge in New York’s Central Park; a hand with flames dancing at its fingertips; a fountain with roses in the water; a dark-haired Lebanese girl staring into the distance; a quote that reads “We are living, breathing stories, made up of the tales others tell us and those we tell ourselves: light, dark, and the shadows in between”; a cat sitting in a window at night; giant redwood trees in a forest; a dark-haired boy surrounded by foliage; and New York City in the autumn.

Her eye freckles shine like snowglobe glitter as she explains quantum en- #tanglement.

I can only nod, a different kind of novelty, feet still sticky from a crashed car dashboard.

She doesn't know phantom pain, hasn't watched something beloved blacken & curl away as if her touch was fire.

An image of a dark-haired girl and a dark-haired boy in a forest. Hand-drawn stars and hearts surround their heads. Text at the top of the image reads, "excerpt." The excerpts reads:

His eyes narrow, unimpressed. “While I’m grateful to you for dispatching the ghoul, which I certainly could’ve done myself—”
“Forgive me. I didn’t realize you were handling it so well.”
“—your presence here in my forest seems highly suspicious.”
I scoff, causing the vines to bite into the softness of my stomach. “Your forest?”
“Yes.” He erases the distance between us in a heartbeat, his warmth enveloping me like a sunbeam through trees: soft, unexpected, and a little dizzying. Irritation fans the flames in my cheeks. “My forest.”
“So, instead of thanking me like a normal person,” I say acidly, “you decided to, let me check my notes...knock me out and bind me to a tree.”
“I needed to make sure you weren’t about to take me out along with that ghoul.” His glance drops to my lips. Lingers there for a breath before dragging back up to meet my gaze. His mouth curves, wry with amusement. “I’m sure you understand.”

There it goes again, the ghost, floating lights-out around back to moon at stars and listen to distant cars pass like slow #comets. Still waiting for the neverdid. I should give it up. Instead I follow - not floating but soft-footed all the same - a killer apologizing in a lover's place.

Nine square biscuits arranged into a square to look like a panel of old tiles. The biscuit set features an array of designs in shades of blue, green, red, and cream. On the top row, there are: a striking blue deer with purple-red spots; a symmetrical leafy design with a vivid blue flower at the centre; and a glazed relief of a lion and a lioness facing in opposite directions against a patchy rust-red background. The middle row includes: a stylised green line drawing of a galleon ship on choppy waters; two flowers on a rich blue background; and a design densely filled with small green leaves and pomegranates. The bottom row features: a monochrome design with small red leaves and flowers; a symmetrical design with spirals, leaves, and flower shapes in shades of blue; and a glazed biscuit with a Tudor rose and leaves in spruce green against a rich blue background.

This biscuit (cookie) set is inspired by some of his many tile designs. 🍪
