The San Francisco teachers union and SFUSD agreed to a $183 million deal early Friday that ends the strike after four days on the picket line.

Here’s what you should know about the two-year contract β†’ www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/s...

We're at Mission High School this morning as SF educators stand up for fully staffed schools and the supports students deserve.

Our members are fighting for the schools their communities deserve, and to get back to their classrooms with a fair contract. ✊ @cftunion.bsky.social

UPDATE: The U.S. Senate just voted NO on a bill that would've given ICE and DHS $370 million in new funding β€” a clear response to the public outcry against ICE's terror campaign in Minnesota.

This is a step in the right direction, but the fight is not over yet.

A message from our union’s president, Bianca Polovina, of solidarity with our immigrant communities and the everyday people who are bravely standing up to the brutality and injustices of ICE.

We must keep showing up to observe, to document, to protest. An injury to one is an injury to all.

The Senate will soon vote on a bill that will pump millions in new funding into ICE and DHS – allowing them to expand detention and deportation efforts and increase violence against everyday people. We cannot let this bill pass. The vote could happen as soon as tomorrow, so take action with us now ⬇️

We are witnessing a federal occupation of an American city, carried out through intimidation, fear, and violence at the expense of our children, students, and families. ICE does not belong in our schools or communities. #IceOutSchools

We tried to post a video to TikTok in solidarity with immigrants. After receiving multiple errors while attempting to post the video, it’s still not being shown to users. And we are not alone.

This is a dangerous time for our democracy and we can’t allow our social media apps to silence us.

AFL-CIO Mourns Killing of Minneapolis Union Member, Reiterates Calls for ICE to Leave Minnesota:

The AFL-CIO mourns the senseless killing of another Minneapolis resident by federal agents. Alex Jeffrey Pretti was a VA intensive care unit nurse and a member of AFGE Local 3669β€”a brother in our union family. Our thoughts are with Alex’s loved ones, his union siblings, and the people of Minneapolis at this devastating time.

As tens of thousands of Minnesotans made clear peacefully and powerfully yesterday, the Trump administration’s horrific operationβ€”and their actions aimed at stoking violence and chaosβ€”must end. America’s unions join the call for ICE to immediately leave Minnesota before anyone else is hurt or killed. We demand local authorities conduct a full, transparent investigation that will lead to accountability for this tragic and violent act, and for Congress to use its power to hold ICE accountable.

For South Asian and Muslim Americans nationwide, Zohran Mamdani's historic win for Mayor of New York City is a huge milestone in political representation. Sadly, it has also triggered a backlash of anti-South Asian hate and Islamophobia.

Here’s what you need to know. β¬‡οΈπŸ§΅

Video Firings of immigration judges are 'politically motivated': Union president IFPTE union president Matt Biggs discusses the impact that the Trump administration's firing of immigration judges is having on the court system.

"Whether this Administration likes it or not, immigrants in this country are entitled to due process. When they don't get a fair shake from an independent judge in immigration court, they're being denied due process." β€” Matt Biggs, President of IFPTE @ifpte.bsky.social
