🟢 Hamas Says PA Can Lead Gaza Administration if Agreed Nationally Senior Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouk said the movement has “no objection” to the Palestinian Authority running Gaza under a unified administrative committee, reaffirming that Hamas had already agreed to such a plan in Cairo. “Even if ministers from the Authority take charge – we have no objection,” he told Al Jazeera. “Let the Authority run the crossings, the ministries of education and health, the whole civil administration.” He said Hamas had endorsed similar agreements in Moscow, Beijing, and Cairo affirming the PLO as the “legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.” The obstacle, he said, is not Hamas: “The real objection is Israeli – not Palestinian.” Abu Marzouk added that Hamas remains open to dialogue with Fatah and the Authority on “how, to whom, and under what guarantees” weapons and governance could be arranged. “Our goal isn’t to cling to power,” he said. “It’s to protect our people, rebuild Gaza, and bring relief. But you can’t impose the occupation’s conditions and call it national consensus.”
