A cluster of small and somewhat larger velvet shanks (Flammulina velutipes) growing up the side of a sawn-off tree trunk. They're golden brown, ochre and yellow and all shiny!

A totally tedious tubaria, aka scurfy twiglet (Tubaria furfuracea), glowing a reddish shade of brown against a backdrop of light green (top) and dark, decayed moss (bottom).

Another totally tedious tubaria (Tubaria furfuracea) being drop dead gorgeous as far as I'm concerned. Fungi are never tedious!

Great flat bracket fungus (Ganoderma lipsiense) on the side of a decaying tree trunk, all green with algae.

Trying desperately to find that witches' butter I saw last week, I paid too little attention to other fungi yesterday. And I didn't find that buttery treasure anyway 😭
So here's some stuff I did manage to shoot. First this bracket fungus in symbiosis with some algae; a green symphony. #fungifriends

I know. But Monaco is not too far from Nice, so they could have advertising from Nice, too.

According to the data, the #referee would be Michel Vautrot. But looking at the ref bending over, I'm not convinced it's him. After all, Vautrot started balding quite early in life. Could this be the return match, in which Alain Delmer was the ref?
