If you think Kindles are clunky, you haven’t tried tinkering with every damn display setting for every damn app on an e-ink tablet based on version of Android four generations old.
09.02.2026 23:10 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Before a cruise, I set up detailed Daily Notes in #Obsidian: ports, times, etc. Takes hours. Today, I asked #Claude to scan an itinerary, create files for each day, set up YAML, add 5 POI’s, 3 suggested restaurants, and match my journaling template.
On free plan, took 1 min. Mind blown.
Got a little bored on a snow day, and decided to see what I could make in four hours with tools from FreePik: Google Veo, SeedDream, Eleven Labs. Fun!

Tim Cook’s memo is despicable.
Murder is reduced to “events.” His sympathy goes out to “everyone affected.” Murderers, too?
He enjoins us to “treat everyone with respect.” Those who have cast aside the Constitution, the law, and simple human decency deserve no respect.
We won’t forget this, Tim.
I wonder if Tim Cook smacked his lips after biting into his Melania-branded documentary cookie.
I wonder if the souvenir black macaroons stained his lips and teeth.
I wonder if he hung his framed premiere tickets on his “My Legacy” wall.
For the record: the sound of ice raining down on our front lawn sounds a lot like chicken frying.

Here’s the thing about spotlight-loving, big idea, ketamine-fueled change-makers:
They get bored fast, and they move on, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake for you and me to clean up and pay for.
I tried to escape the Amazon Kindle.
I failed.
