#StarTrek #SFA S1E4: Finally, a Jay-Den episode! Really needed that exploration of him as a character, not to mention Thok. I really enjoyed the ep! Although I must say, it stretches credibility that literally no one else in the Federation would've thought of that solution to maintain Klingon honor.

Things are still absolutely awful.

However, that #Seahawks game was a thing of nail-biting beauty.

I think I've tried something like that before! It was lovely and creamy.
Unfortunately the avocados that we have access to over here taste weirdly like melons (and have a melon-y consistency), which puts me off them.

Verdict: not bad! I think it would've been even better if our food processor had a higher capacity & thus could've processed the beans a little more finely, but it will not be a hardship to eat the rest of them.

In the midst of everything utterly awful that's going on, my sister & I decided to experiment w/making brownies with (cooked) pinto beans instead of flour, since we had a lot of pinto beans to use up. Not that we're gluten-free or anything, just trying 'em out.
They certainly smell good so far!

#LowerDecks S3E8-10: It had been much, much too long since we last watched this show. That was a really excellent season-ending trio of eps. Woohoo, Cali-class! Also T'Lyn! Yay!

Had a Tim Tam Slam for the first time in at least 10 years this evening (with rooibos tea, in case you were curious). It was even better than I remembered, and I wondered why my sister & I had waited this long - and then I remembered that we hadn't had a kettle for quite a number of those years.

...can we have a version of the theme where it's easier to hear the melody? Or maybe it'll get clearer as it goes this season? It certainly isn't hummable yet for me, though the visuals are gorgeous. #StarTrek #SFA

Glad Darem's again showing growth (heh). Need more Jay-Den and his excellent jokes.

And now I've finally finished #StrangerThings S5. I really liked the ending. I guess some people didn't, but I loved it. Some shows give you hardly any denouement (and I understand why, in many cases), but after 5 years? We needed this.

My sister & I were driving thru the mountains in Thailand when our car's radiator died. We pulled over- middle of nowhere- & popped the hood. A Thai man pulled over, confirmed it was the radiator, poured water into it for us, & told us to drive slowly & carefully to the next garage. We made it. ❤️
