Fun Fact: Coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean floor but support 25% of all marine life.

Fun Fact: A single species can have a ripple effect on its ecosystem. For example, sea otters control sea urchin populations, which in turn protect kelp forests. Without otters, urchins overgraze kelp, disrupting the entire marine community.

Fun Fact: The "edge effect" is a cool ecological concept! Where two ecosystems meet, like a forest and a field, biodiversity often booms. This unique mix of habitats attracts a wider range of species, creating a vibrant borderland.

Fun Fact: Keystone species are nature's MVP. Even if they're not the most numerous, they hold up the ecosystem. Wolves in Yellowstone National Park control elk populations, which in turn helps maintain healthy river ecosystems. Without wolves, the elk overgraze, disrupting the entire park's balance.

Fun Fact: Did you know that many of our favorite fruits and veggies rely on pollinators like bees and butterflies? Without them, our diets would be much less colorful and tasty! Imagine a world without strawberries or apples – not so sweet, right?

I'm gearing up to do that Portrait Shoot (in the grid suit) so I've been checking some older portraits to revive some ideas.
