Earlier this year, Dr. Jane Goodall sat down for an interview for Brad Falchukโ€™s new Netflix series, Famous Last Words.

The premise of the series is to interview people on the condition that the interview not air until the subject has passed away.

Dying on this hill is a luxury we donโ€™t have. There are many hills. We need everyone for all of them.

I donโ€™t eat meat, fly & drive an EV but that doesnโ€™t make me trustworthy. Having empathy & caring about others makes me trustworthy.

We must focus on bringing others in not pushing each other out.

Has anyone ever estimated the ROI that oil companies get on their political investments?

It must be enormous.

At first I thought the best thing about buying an EV was the reduced emissions.

One day when I was driving by a gas station, I realized the best thing was not funding the machine that was killing the world.

โ€œBut if we arenโ€™t selling you all that stuff, how are we going to make billions in profit?โ€ - FF Exec

Maybe we can integrate FFโ€™s into RE, kind of like agrivoltaics. You know, jet engine propelled win turbines or coal-fired photovoltaics.

Iโ€™m only half kidding on the gas powered turbine/generator.

Elon Musk calls for dissolution of parliament at far-right rally in London US-based tech boss was addressing the โ€˜unite the kingdomโ€™ protest organised by Tommy Robinson via video link

It's yelling into the void but something tell me it just needs to kept being said: if you are still posting, RTing, or lurking on X, you are helping keep users there and you are helping this guy pull in advertising revenue.

You are a volunteer worker for a slobbering, drug-addled white supremacist

Not at all surprising that the notoriously nimble Democratic political machine planned ahead 23 years to plant a fake Trump drawing in Epstein's birthday book. That Chuck Schumer sees around corners!

Iโ€™m not sure what you mean by โ€œhelpful.โ€ Does that mean it gives a feeling of moral superiority & makes you feel good or that it is something that will help materially change the status quo?

I think we spend too much time on things that make us feel better & not enough on things that change things.

Money in politics is not the source of all evil but itโ€™s a big piece of the pie.

Why do fossil fuel companies need to pay politicians $1 billion? Whatโ€™s the alternative they are fighting against?

Itโ€™s simple. Theyโ€™re fighting against the will of the American people with $1 billion club. Shameful.

I use Google News to scan the headlines. The very bad jobs report was the 31st story in the โ€œHeadlinesโ€ feed (not my personal โ€œFor Youโ€ feed).

That seems real low. Anyone ever seen an analysis of โ€œBad Newsโ€ amplification under Biden vs Trump?

Seems like thereโ€™s a world of difference.

I charged at 3 electrify America stations this weekend and had slow charging speeds (under 100 kW) at all three, even though the temperature was at 75 and my state of charge was between 10 and 40%.

Might be a charging network problem.

Killing science, stealing cures? Either way, so true & so sad.

Thereโ€™s a lot of reasons we got here, but one is that we left too many people behind.

Most Americans donโ€™t know the benefits that come from science. Whatever it is, itโ€™s not helping me.

People need to know the benefits it brings.

This graph says a lot.

First, Republicans are more satisfied when thereโ€™s a Republican President than Democrats are with a Dem President.

Second, Independents are more satisfied under Trump now than they ever were with Biden.

Dems need to start focusing on being effective more than right.

Honestly, this may be one of the most important media graphs I've ever seen.

The claim: Democrats keep using annoying words.
The data: Republicans CLAIMS Democrats use them, which then becomes the narratives.

Then centrists attack DEMS for things GOPer CLAIM they say, not GOP for making stuff up.

As an Ohioan for over 30 years, this is so embarrassing.

The sad thing is DeWine knows better, but plays along.

Not sure what happened to the state. Historically itโ€™s been pretty educated & economically vibrant.

I think itโ€™s mostly about a widening income gap & the resentment that comes with it.

I once naรฏvely thought the reason to electrify was to reduce my carbon footprint.

While thatโ€™s a good thing, I now realize the MOST important reason to decarbonize is to reduce the income of fossil fuel companies who use the money we give them to eliminate progress in climate change.
