My life is based on a true story. West Galway once, Waterford for a while, Dublin for decades. Today is my favourite day.

Quote this with a book you read way too young that explains why you are the way you are.

What better way to celebrate the immaculate Conception.

No idea, RΓ³nΓ‘n - @jacqbetula just wasn't there when I checked a while back. I hope it's just a break due to his work being so busy. (I initially thought you were referencing something in Belle and Sebastian's We Rule the School. :))

Gravestone inscribed: Alistair Stephen Fabian Mitchell. 13-6-1957, 10-2-2019. Barrister of the Middle Temple. My brain, socialist. My heart, anarchist. My eyes, pacifist. My blood, revolutionary.

Around the edge, the legend: The only man in British legal history to be convicted of biting a policeman with someone else’s teeth.

A tombstone in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, photographed by Andy Darby.

Note the border inscription.

Sorry to see Declan O'Driscoll has deactivated his account. That's a quarter of the people whose posts I always checked out gone.
Must remember to include restoration of good-Twitter on my Christmas present list.

The Pompidou Centre, the Crawford and now this. Looks like I'll see a lot less art in my final years! (Still, the RHA open exhibition is like finding a new gallery every year.)

Moved to Dublin in 1985 and worked nearby. It was a great lunchtime haven, if no sun. Great prices and stock. Remaindered hardbacks on tables outside cheaper than their paperback versions within, total unpredictability as to treasures in top storey, etc. Much missed

Makes me think of Irish Labour TDs in the 2011-2016 Government. And not in a good way.
