Out on the bike today and got hit in the face by a bird. Thankfully I have a full-face helmet and the visor was down (as always) so there was no damage done to me. Not sure how the bird fared.

Out on the bike this morning, stopped at traffic lights. Green light appears & I accelerated pretty sharpish up to the 40 limit. Looked in mirrors saw police car with blue flashing lights 😱 Moved over towards the kerb but didn’t stop or slow down and waited for the inevitable stop & bollocking. 1/2

Extra £70 needed for a charger as well due to EU regulations.

Managed to get though the call lottery. Saw a nurse practitioner which really annoyed me as I specifically asked for a doctor so I could ask about my long term medication as well as current issue. I haven’t been able to see a doctor for 3.5 years now despite asking.

Won’t make much of a difference if there aren’t the Doctors in the surgery. Ended up seeing a nurse practitioner when I specifically asked for a doctor as I had a number of things I needed to discuss. Couldn’t sort everything out. Made a verbal complaint about it.

Nope. Just suggested the phone call lottery.

Last time I tried calling them for an appointment, me and my better half rang 150 times over three days before giving up.

I now have to try the ‘emergency appointment’ phone call lottery in the morning. Or failing that, the day after. Or failing that, the day after that… etc etc

What has happened to our Doctor’s surgeries for things to be this bad?

Tried to make an appointment with my Doctor today. Was told no appointments left in October and couldn’t make one in November as “calendar hadn’t been released yet”. No appointments for any of the 3 surgeries they control. At all.

Took a long time. Took a few hours for everything to transfer over. Had to sign in to all apps which required a log in. Finally finished in the early evening but I wasn’t doing it constantly.

iPhone 17 arrived today. Looks really nice, Mous case is pretty good as well. It’s a complete pain in the arse having to sign in to every single app again. Still working on it hours later. There must be an easier way.

A fabulous morning riding around the Peak District. Sunshine and a superb bike make for plenty of fun.

Yes it can be done via BT/Wifi. I’ve seen that if you transfer via cable you don’t have to sign into everything again. Just trying to same time and hassle.

I’ve seen people saying you can transfer your current iPhone to a new iPhone using a USB-C cable. Is this just USB-C to USB-C? Or can you use a Lightning to USB-C cable? I ask the question as my current iPhone 12 Pro has a Lightning port but the new iPhone 17 is USB-C.

Last week my car went reached 88888 miles. This week my bike reached 44444!

The 1980s. The decade when I met my wife, bought a house and moved in with her, got married and was able to watch and listen to some fantastic movies and music.
