Contrivances galore, and there are beats here that stretch credibility to paper thin degrees, but I long for the days of mid budget thrillers for adults with name talents on both sides of the camera. So yeah, thumbs up on SUSPECT.

1975's THE OLD GUN is pretty fucking great. H/t to whoever it was on here that recommended it! Brutal, beautifully shot, genuine heart and suspense. Two flamethrower kills here, and both are spectacular. Tight, hugely cathartic tale of revenge against nazis. Seek it out!

I've recently stopped upgrading Blus, period. I'll still upgrade dvds and boots, but if I already have the Blu? I'll live without the 4K.

Agreed! That's the appropriate bit to take from CUJO as it adds something extra to the antagonist. Little bit of pity, whole lotta gory fun.

Look, chimpanzees are fucking terrifying. Especially in captivity. Do I buy this as a real chimp in PRIMATE? Hell no. Still 100x better than cg would be. People-in-suits monsters rule. Give me all the people-in-suits creature features.

Anyway. Great gore. Intense sequences. Dumb people. Love it.
