The requirement for numberplates hasn't stopped issues. More than 100 vehicles (since Sept) were towed for simply not having them. Then there are the vehicles with cloned plates that we have also had to tow. Don't get me started on the vehicles with no registered keeper.

Brompton was a great sort of gateway drug for me to start with and I completely recommend to people who want to try cycle commuting. But I agree with you as well.

I found that the transition from Brompton to non-Brompton was much easier than the reverse.

No. We lifted it. They also tried to wedge in one car between two other cars thinking if we lifted one we would damage the others. Got that one, too. No damage. 10 cars today

We will see what happens. If it is claimed back from the pound, the owner will need to provide proof of ownership, proof of address and ID. That all gets passed on to parking enforcement. All this, and we are STILL not spending public money on this project!

We lifted this vehicle last night for having expired tax and MOT. Checked with colleagues in Parking. It also has 60 unpaid PCNs.

We have towed this car twice in as many weeks from the same road for being untaxed. Glad we're not spending public money on this nonsense!

I'm aware. But there are certainly consultations - I believe to change parking restrictions and so forth - that require a high degree of support before they go through, referendum style. That is why I asked. Wasn't sure if all highways and traffic management ones are the same.

Hi Carla. Do you know if this is one of those consultations where the council announce their plans and may make some changed based on feedback, or if it is essentially a referendum where the majority wins?
