Is Figma the only thing UX research platforms think people make prototypes in these days?

Growing up on a farm rats were something we often talked about, however we didn't call them rats, they were always "Rolands" or "Dereks". The Dereks were the biggest ones. The Rolands just the general ones.
It was completely normal to say stuff like "I've just seen the Derek with the crooked tail"

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering in school do it, make it work. It’s such a great experience ❤️ I made each of my readers a pack of special stickers just for them to celebrate their progress

It’s been such a privilege to do this and I’m hopeful I can keep going in September if I can get my calendar to fit with the school’s.

There are so many children that just need someone to sit with them and listen and it has a transformative effect on their skills and confidence.

I’ve been doing volunteer reading with seven year 2 children at my daughter’s primary school this year and I did my final session of the year yesterday. They are such brilliant young people & they have been the highlight of my week 🥲 one of them wrote me the sweetest note in my notebook

One of the greatest joys of working in user experience is getting to meet people who are experts in things I am not and getting to learn so much from them. Unexpected topics are the best, and ones I know very little about.

There is something about Figma I just don't seem to gel with. Everything always feels gritty and awkward to do in it.

There were just so many points in the dialogue where the actors looked confused like what’s the mood here? 😂 but saying all that I do enjoy all Jurassic Park films in general and it was enjoyable fun

I wish they’d spent more time on the story and the script. The cinematography was great, the use of film was lovely, the effects were good, the location excellent. All the expensive stuff basically. But the cheaper foundations of story and script OMG 🤯

I went to see the Jurassic Park film this morning, and it’s made me remember how important the cheapest, first steps steps in the creative process are… no matter how much you spend later on, if you don’t do a good job on the basics, everything suffers

Worth checking your gardens for creatures that have got stuck looking for water in this heatwave: I found a rat in ours that had got stuck trying to get some water left at the bottom of a bucket that had another slightly smaller bucket nested in it

Does everyone drink more water these days or am I imagining it? I don't remember seeing people walking about with bottles all the time growing up. Were we all constantly dehydrated?

Do I know anyone that works in #researchops ? Or who has set up their own panel of research participants from scratch - I am looking for some tips and answers to a few questions...

I'm looking for examples of tackling problems that exist but that for whatever reason, people are ignoring, or just sort of living with, without any activity to change them despite them causing issues. Like the elephant in the room thing.

(I would appreciate it if you shared this because it feels weird to write something like this and then have no one read it)
