Days 5 & 6 of #Catober

The original plan for day 5 was a cat chewing on a houseplant, but that behavior kept looking real uncanny valley for a cat that acts like a person so I went with plan B.

The kitten doodling makes me so happy :3

The cactus we got the cuttings from was rather epic wrapping itself around a large Florida oak tree. Recycled some old pots and added cactus soil

Such a stunning lineup of comics! I was thankful more of the titles were in my price range this year, but it just meant I bought more and spent about the same as last year XD

Spent the last two days battling Wordpress themes on making some design elements work for a couple of my websites. #Exhausted

Attempted to bake Whoopie Pies today for the first time. It did not go well. The cake part was fine but the filling never set properly and was too squishy.

I don't think I'll ever stop. Art is like breathing to me. Creating is what gives my soul joy.

It's more like, with everything going on in the world, it's sometimes hard to not feel weird about promoting myself because everything is on fire while I'm pitching a comic.

There have been times when I feel ridiculous or guilty for posting fanart or shouting about my comics when there are so many horrible things happening, but then I remember that joy I feel in creating it, maybe it will give someone else a little joy in seeing it, and I get back to drawing. 2/

Sometimes it's hard to feel that creative spark when things are so dark, but when I am creating, I feel better. I don't know what I'd do without art. 1/
