Oh look. A tipping point.

At this point, it's increasingly unavoidable that if you're going to the polls to stop Reform, labour are now no longer the best way to do that.

Which makes the long standing need to vote for the lesser evil obsolete.

And hey, for once, you don't have to vote for evil.

don't vote labour, you risk splitting the anti-reform vote!

And even then - would they be wrong, these hypothetical people, to take food when they can't get it legally, in order to survive, or to feed their children?

Of course not.

This is the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry. Yesterday, @rockstargames.com unfairly fired over 30 employees for union activity.

We won't back down, and we're not scared - we will fight for every member to be reinstated.

Call them cunts and tell them they get nothing. Spit in their stupid faces. Put extra Asians in the Christmas adverts and explicitly say you're doing it to fuck them off. Tell them *no* for once Jesus actual Christ lads. Not "this is unworkable" or "this is expensive". Just no.

It's not confused and it's not hapless. They got what they wanted and got the center-right to establish it as the new common m normal. Then, consistent with the behaviour of all right wing racists for the last century, they refused to take yes for an answer and upped their demands.

And if you don't believe the Tories could stoop so low, look at what their MPs and ex MPs are coming out with, now the restraints are off. Listen to Michael Gove, for example, Lee Anderson, or Katie Lam. The "decent Tories" were more than happy to share a party with them.

The infamous "loony left is right behind you neil" cartoon from the Daily Express, showing Neil Kinnock shocked by his "troops" of offensively caricatured black, Irish, gay and "communist local council" people.

Whenever I hear about the decline in standards from the old days of Decent Conservatism this is the first image that comes to mind. The man who drew this was given an OBE.

Here's a photo of my friend and colleague, Jorge Bautista, getting shot in the face with a flashbang grenade. The ICE Agent is so afraid of Jorge (who was posing no threat) that he has wet himself. Please share this photo. Everyone needs to know what cowards ICE agents are.

Justice administered by the victor was never going to be justice.

Honestly, I've thought a truth and reconciliation commission in the South African model was a better choice for a long time.

See, this is always where I disagree. Yes, he's vapid, personally dull and also vicious, both in terms of being a backstabbing wee shite, and in terms of legalised corruption. But are you trying to tell me that's not a perfect representation of the modern Labour Party?

24.10.2025 08:30 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Interesting to note that saying "they need bloody shooting" about someone on here would generate a knock on the door from the plod. But in a direct quote like this, not a problem, fill your boots, lads.

24.10.2025 08:24 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

In fact, there's another reason, thinking about it. The Greens, by necessity, are a grass roots movement. So was the left under Corbyn, back in the day. When compared to a centralised, rigid, and thoroughly dysfunctional Labour bureaucracy, that's got a built in advantage against Reform.

24.10.2025 08:22 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

None.

But his logic is relevant in making that clear. The Green rise in the polls would have to stop dead, right now, in order for the anti Farage vote not to be forced to go to the Greens, just to stop Reform. And there's no sign of that

24.10.2025 08:08 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Fair enough. If they want to join us in doing so, then welcome. They're welcome to compromise their values in doing so - or more likely not, if they actually oppose fascism already. All you're asking for is that I compromise mine for their convenience.

If that's all it would take, we should do that asap. Get right on it, torch the fucking lot.

"critic of contemporary democracy"?

Is that the best they can come up with for an arch reactionarywho argues for ending democracy entirely?

You don't even need to twist his words.

What does it mean, if the Sensible Moderates in government and media talk and behave like far right crackpots?

I support Green and Polanski, but...I also think we need to be wary of a cult like mentality, in the sense of centred on a charismatic leader.

Our support needs to be broader, imv.

"The Greens could be on their way to replacing Labour as Britain’s major left-wing force come the next UK vote.

Should that happen, then Labour and the Tories deserve to share the same gravestone."

He Wrote a Book About Antifa. Death Threats Are Driving Him Out of the US Rutgers historian Mark Bray is trying to flee to Spain after after an online campaign from far-right influencers was followed by death threats. He was turned back at the airport on his first attempt.

β€œI’ll kill you in front of your students.”

This is just one of the death threats that has driven @mark-bray.bsky.social to try and flee the US.

But at the airport last night, after checking in and clearing security, his booking mysteriously disappeared

Do we remember how popular Blair once was? And how loathed he is now, for his disastrous Iraq intervention?

This is worse. And anyone associated with these horrors will be viewed as badly. These MPs are idiots at best.

Had to go back and check, and no, she's there. It's the vertical line between Johnson and Sunak.

Bizarrely, she was less unpopular at the end of her tenure than Starmer is now.

When ICE agents use excessive force and flout state laws, why are they not being arrested on the spot? Why are the state and cities not telling their troopers and police to watch what is happening and intervene when necessary to protect their citizens.

10.10.2025 16:05 β€” πŸ‘ 151    πŸ” 42    πŸ’¬ 16    πŸ“Œ 12

I again note that all the lobby hacks appear to have known McSweeney and Starmer were a Peter Mandelson production, and they seem to have known very well that the incoming Labour government would be a Tony Blair Institute enterprise. And it looks like they kept this largely to themselves.

One thing social media really is quite helpful for is tattooing politicians with the logos of the various corporate interests that they tacitly work for, and will openly work for after they leave politics.
