Careful what you wish for. Remember the last decade. Well it could get a whole lot worse if folk keep ditching the centre left.

It’s either Labour or Reform, the Tories are finished . Back the party that would be best for the country. There’s way too much negativity here. The centre left is better than the climate change denying nutters on the right.

I completely disagree. The Party is self destructive . Welfare had to be changed. It is failing everyone.

This part is also spot on.

Surely they know. It’s a bit like major infrastructure projects, political cycles aren’t fit for this purpose. A complete lack of vision and foresight. Inevitable consequences sadly.

Imagine the scale of the peace operations needed in 2050, 2075 then 2100 when hundreds of millions of people are displaced internally at any one time as a result of the conflicts arising from climate change, geopolitical instability and sheer human cruelty.

As climate scientists, we can only tell you why climate change is happening and how severe the consequences will be. It takes voters to choose politicians who will listen and enact policies to avoid the worst possible outcomes.

Agreed. Leaders should have foresight. Or should I say, why can’t we elect leaders with foresight? This generation ( baby boomers) have been catastrophic custodians of our planet. And we knew. No excuse is there?

Honestly with the leaders we elect do we have a hope? Trump & Putin don’t give a proverbial, selfish men are the problem aren’t they?

Unsustainably high housing costs are the number 1 issue in the UK. So many properties are primarily money mines for landlords instead of being fundamentally homes. The rich are getting richer off the back of normal people just trying to live.
