Het KNMI heeft onhoorbaar laagfrequent geluid (infrageluid) geregistreerd van de inslag van asteroïde 2023 CX1, die op 13 februari 2023 boven Normandië in Frankrijk uiteenviel. De ruimterots was ongeveer één meter groot en werd slechts enkele uren voor de inslag ontdekt.

21 June 2025 #fireball observed on the Dutch infrasound network. Observations at ~180 km (De Bilt, DBN) and 200 km (Cabauw, CIA) distance show a clear shock front.

Low-frequency inaudible sound (#infrasound) observed from Asteroid #2024BX1 (Sar2736) across Europe - up to 1615 km distance at CTBTO infrasound array IS43. Nearest observations (e.g., CTBTO array IS26 at 412 km) clearly shows a moving source.
