I will say that grandmaster level conquests are somewhat easier than old school GMs, mainly because you can self-revive

I don’t mind, but I kind of think that limiting revives to teammates rezzing you could be a fun challenge modifier

We’re planning to push for 490 and complete the other GM conquests just because we’re pretty close now and we’re having a lot of fun running them

I’m kind of flabbergasted but also excited? I’ve been working really hard for MONTHS to get me & C & J up to 490 power (solo grind, coordinating group grinds, etc) so we could gild Conqueror

Then today we did Glassway at 450 and…that was enough to gild??!? I didn’t realize 4/5 triumphs was enough!

On our last attempt (because we were running out of instance time) both healers went down at 18% left

We managed to get down to 1.8% at which point it was one DPS and a tank

At 0.6% the DPS went down

The final tank (the new one!) finished the last few percent for the clear!

It was very exciting

Had a great time in the Arkveld trial in FFXIV tonight—both healers and a tank were new, the other 5 were me & my friends but we’d only cleared it once before

I think we wiped like 6 times? But everyone stayed positive & eventually the healers learned to (mostly) dodge the half arena AoEs

Sometimes I see things on social media that have me making notes to use in my physics class as real world examples

I’m very sad to say this thread probably won’t make that list
