Anybody here watching football on CBS this afternoon? I'm surprised that so *very many* of the ads are either house ads (i.e., ads for other CBS shows), NFL ads, or PSAs. Everybody else sitting on their wallets?

We will need a New new deal, a redistribution of wealth as basic income, guaranteed healthcare, childcare, education, and affordable housing.

We need a restructuring and hardening of all our institutions. Expansion of SCOTUS, congressional term limits, the repeal of Citizens United.

For me, plot is psychological growth and writing is creating a character - LOVING a character - then loading them down with flaws. Why bother if we’re just creating shiny happy non-problematic psyches? They are supposed to have problems! Maybe they overcome them, maybe they don’t, it’s a story.

if you want to write an English-speaking culture other than your own (like a yank writing a pom or vice-versa) my advice would be to use slang carefully. nothing breaks suspension of disbelief faster than incorrect slang. and slang can be tricky because the words can be right, but the context wrong

No American is safe wherever DHS is operating. Not one. ICE is its invading force. Multiple videos of peaceful protesters being brutally attacked prove this true. We need to react now, before they are everywhere.

Immigrants commit fewer crimes.

Immigrants pay taxes.

Immigrants contribute over $2 trillion to the economy.

The problem isn't immigrants.

In the past month, a serial child rapist has murdered 100 people in the Caribbean, destroyed the East Wing of the White House, neutralized our Congress, & stolen food from 20% of American children.

We pay him, house him, drive him, fly him, and pay for his bodyguards.
