The week between Christmas and New Year’s is an odd time. I lose track of what day it is. My grandpa used to refer to it as “the interyule season.”

This little chipmunk is lighting his way in the dark forest. I painted this recently while the seasonal darkness closed in.

My Samoyed puppy Mayzie. This is what she looked like when we got her this summer. It’s amazing how fast she’s growing.

Hmm. My first post here. Figuring this place out! I’m making a wish that this will be a lovely spot to spend time. I painted this little chipmunk last spring. I like to paint with acrylics and occasionally watercolor and gouache.
