So, this novella is not going to be finished by the end of the month. New plan: finish it by the 10th August, have my little Edinburgh Fringe break, then edit, revise, get it done by 1st September!

I think with everything that's happened that I'm doing to have to re-write a completely finished novel and the thought of that is devastating me.

It's 2025. I'm 30, and I'm doing my Masters degree in September, something I didn't think I'd get to do. I'm working on another novella, planning to get it done before 1st Sep, when new author copies of Amissis Liberis turn up at my door. 21-year-old Sarah would be so proud.

It's nothing like what I normally write, but I love my current project SO MUCH. It really feels like it's me encapsulated in a book, which makes me so vulnerable, but also like I'm writing my own happy ending.

I just really love writing.

I simultaneously love and hate being hyperfocused on a certain project because finishing a draft in a week made me feel so accomplished and now I'm stuck making trope maps and marketing materials waiting for alpha readers to get back to me 😭

Sent a project out to alpha readers and still waiting for feedback from a few, but all I want to do is write 😭 got some great comments so far though!

I cannot explain how awkward it is to go through your physiotherapy routine in front of a cat, felt like I was being judged the entire time.

Planned to finish this draft 30/4, finished it on 7/4, adding 21,000 words!

So proud of myself.

I was planning on getting this draft done by 30th April, 15th April as a stretch, but after writing 18,000 words in the last week, it’s looking like I can finish it tomorrow! And I’ve got ideas on how to work on another, existing project. I’ve never felt so inspired!

3/4 of the second draft done!

14,000 words written this week, 4600 written today, this story wants to be told!

This current book is just pouring out of me. I'm just on the second draft and already have doubled the word count, still with another third to write!

So inspired by this new book I'm working on! Planning on getting draft 2 finished by the end of April!
