Overall I think the game is gonna have great longevity because of the track quality and Knockout Mode, but it really feels like we'll need DLC to make Free Roam actually significant.

The open world seems nice for mucking around in but honestly does feel empty. I'm a bit baffled by the P Switch missions and Peach Medallions - the former can have good tutorials for tricks but the lack of tracking, like the new Zelda Notes, is really really strange. It's so hard to track.

The core game is really great with loads of fun tracks. Knockout Tour is the standout for me because it adds so much pressure and moments of hilarity in longer multi-race sessions.

Been playing Mario Kart World every evening for the past few days and it's absolutely magical. Totally re-captured the joy of playing with friends - it's not perfect but on-system calls (via GameChat) massively improve the experience.
