I’m coming around on Final Fantasy Tactics, mostly because Ivalice Chronicles is truly a beautiful game. Just, every time I start getting into it, I read “marquis” and hear “marquess” which makes me wonder how these fictional, doughy British people with no noses were influenced by real world French.

PC FXGA Drivers for PC98 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive PC-FX GA drivers for PC98. Not DOS/V Version.

Just got PC-FXGA up and running recently. Totally worth it, its just so bizarre and works quite well. And there might even be a good game for it!

All jokes aside, this is one of the best bootleg games I’ve played. Not that that’s saying much. I particularly like the ripoff Final Fantasy 4 music in it.

World of Warcraft for the NES, with a label done like a black box game. Thats the joke. Its obviously some sort of bootleg. Its pretty decent though!

No NES black box collection is complete without this classic!

The good news is streaming PC-FX games is working great! The bad news (for me) is that the game I chose to stream first, Pia Carrot, is quite goonery. I love a good dating sim though, and this one is pretty decent, but my reflexes to change scenes in OBS are 99th percentile now.

Found a nice asthetic piece for my 90’s 486 recreation setup today! Now to give it some attention so it doesn’t do something silly like, oh, burn down my house.

It’s in better condition than the one I had in the 90’s too! Just one piece to go (the right CRT), and my back is in no hurry there.

Going into this knowing nothing about the game, I expected something totally different. Instead, you showed a game right up my alley! Going to give the Famicom translation a go. Also, the Kojima seeing Jesus joke (and that whole segment) was A+

Got some sweet 3D printed SNES game stands from a friend recently. They’re quite sturdy and look great! Now to clean up the rest of the shelves and have them all look this good (an endless struggle)

I read somewhere recently that Lou was wonderful to work with but couldn’t act at all. Couldn’t do things like deliver lines differently and whatnot. I think thats what makes it so endearing though. Captain Lou is the REAL Mario to me!

I just finished warching Tim Rogers’s masterpiece of a video about Tokimeki Memorial (a few years late), and I’m super grateful that the SFC fan translation exists. I can’t wait to dive into this game, although I know it’ll just leave me wanting more.

I loved this era of fan translations. I have memories of my friends and I finding a translation rom of FFIII and laughing at the “Onio Kid” job at the start. Even the bad/incomplete translations were magical!

Now we’re cooking! PC-9821 with a PC-FXGA.Time for some dual screen gaming! If you could call it that, the PC-FXGA has its own video out for playing PC-FX games independent of the rest of the system (CD-ROM aside). The PC is unusable while gaming!
