When will somebody explain to Manchester man that it's poor form to keep your backpack on on the tram.

Alcaraz hasn't turned up at all so far. Needs to get his arse in gear. #ausopen

He's by a distance the worst cricket commentator I have ever seen.

Say it quietly, but Smith hasn't been the same player since he became a father during the NZ tour. That was when his form started to turn in a big way. I can absolutely see how it's happened. Is he getting the support he needs? #ashes

On this evidence seems pretty clear why England have been reluctant to pick Potts the last few years. #ashes

Bethell hitting a lot of fielders here. It's the same when he plays white ball. It's currently the biggest issue in his game for me- doesn't turn the strike over enough. #ashes

This should be the last game Rob Hatch ever commentates on. He must be the least informed and most casual commentator ever employed. Clearly knows absolutely fuck all about the game. #ashes

Absolutely ridiculous. Well played son. Could win 10 in a row if he wants. #thedarts

This darts is incredible but the utter choppers booing Van Veen should be kicked out.

I think the biggest mistake they made was not playing Bethell at the start of the summer. Too much faith in pope.

Not expecting much agreement but genuinely think the game will be much better in 20 years when counties go under having spunked their 100 windfall up the wall. Need a ten team comp.

23.12.2025 16:39 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Detachment from county cricket doesn't bother me. We are pointlessly funding about twice as many professional cricketers as we should in the county system. The idea cricket can support 18 good professional teams in England is mental. Until we grasp that nettle it won't improve.

23.12.2025 16:38 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah we've been shite. Would prefer the focus is on that rather than nonsense stag do allegations.

23.12.2025 11:22 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Doesn't bother me though. Just part of England crickets constant desire to blood let and sacrifice someone after a bad result. Duckett has barely been at home for the last year and has had one of the biggest disappointments of his career. Doesn't surprise me he got pissed.

Reminder that this idea of it being a stag do in Noosa has been entirely confected by Shemilt at the BBC to the extent that Darren Lehmann has called it complete nonsense. So what if Ben Duckett got pissed and some sad acts filmed him? #ashes

Seeing lots of chat about Archer in below the line comments. A) about the nonsense pillow story in the aus press and B) about his gold chain. This is quite obviously racially charged and should be called out. Eng fans are fucking mouth breathers sometimes. #ashes

Yeah true- but if you aren't going to bowl much spin and are picking a utility player for their batting as well, I'd rather have a seamed than a spinner.

05.12.2025 15:23 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Also looks increasingly like the decision to drop Lyon and play Neser was the right one. Spin not really playing a role so far and the extra batting far more useful. I guess England would likely have played Overton here had he been on the tour. #ashes

Contributions all the way down the card from Australia. Backed up by brilliant fielding, even with only one good bowler, you aren't going to lose many games. #ashes

05.12.2025 11:26 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It's bizarre. He's bowled so well for England previously, he's not shit. But he's just had a complete nightmare.

05.12.2025 09:59 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Pretty grim this. We've bowled far, far worse than we've batted. This is not a 260/3 pitch. #ashes

Ashes 2025: Jamie Smith's drop on day two of second Test will worry England Why wicketkeeper Jamie Smith's drop on day two of second Ashes Test is potentially worrying for England.

This hatchet job is an absolute disgrace. No one means to drop them. No wonder the team block out outside noise. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricke...

Its not realistic to expect them to bat for an hour. They've already more than done their job. We're above par now- that's a good day.

04.12.2025 12:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I actually agree- but that's always the case. That's cricket. We've spent 50 years playing a different way and getting that wrong as well! At least this is entertaining and the positive option.

04.12.2025 11:12 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You honestly think they aren't trying?

Wickets fall to bad shots though! That's the game!

04.12.2025 11:08 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

We just see it completely differently I'm afraid. Stokes dig himself into a hole, didn't rotate the strike and then ran himself out because of that. Wed batted an hour under lights and gone nowhere with that approach. I think he should have been more proactive.

04.12.2025 11:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This is unlike George in it's glibness. Yeah, just play as well as the world's best. Easy ffs
