I enjoy feeding the squirrels, the
chipmunks and whichever birds come by. Otherwise i've silently spiraled but managed to leave and return across borders which is something i dreaded. I hope small joy still breathes here.

The entire Ghibli ethos is tied up in the idea of craftsmanship. It's a textual subject of the films (hand carving violins in Whisper of the Heart, for just one example) and the meta work that goes into the films themselves. Their films feature hard workers, and are animated with sweat and tears.

Cheers to all those feeling lost and purposelessness today. Hopefully a walk helps.

The Pitt just punches you in the gut eesh. I think watching it is a way to reconnect with the pain that some of us are trying to process and escape.

I like toothless looks. Smiling is vastly overrated.
