Whenever you hear someone invoke the unitary executive, remember the image below.
This was an inevitable result of the unitary executive theory:
Empowering a president to tyrannically destroy institutions that ensured our government reflects the rule of law rather than his personal whim.
The New England Journal of Medicine and the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy will be publishing regular public health alerts to replace the CDCβs Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, which has been paused due to the federal government shutdown.

You disagreeing with it doesn't change the truth, Scott. Consumers end up paying for a vast majority of tariffs. If businesses absorbed the cost increases, they'd go under. Like one toy company is on the verge of - they sued & won in trial court. youtu.be/dK__tC-HRMU

Fucking Doge-bags.
Thereβs $3.5 billion in the bill through FY2029 for states to do things like build their own detention centers.
That said: the cost of the Everglades Detention Center is $450 million/year for 3,000 beds, which means that one facility alone would take up $1.8 billion of that funding.
As somebody who dug in my heels and fought, and paid a very heavy price for it, I can sympathize with the situation and not give them a pass for their actions. While I understand the challenge, they have a duty to meet it or leave, and not be an agent of fascism for the sake of a paycheck.

Weβre devastated to see our friends and colleagues discarded like this. These are some of the agencyβs top talentβpeople who chose public service over higher-paying industry jobs. Now theyβre being pushed out with no answers, no respect, and no support.
