Level 5 of our game TRAILS in portrait mode. Two sandships need to get to their goals. There are already paths drawn in.

Level 46 of the main path of TRAILS in portrait mode. A grey ship has already got a path through the red desert and the player needs to get two other ships towards their destination while bringing water to some villages and not crashing into each other.

TRAILS is a cozy puzzle game in which you guide sand ships across a crumbling desert to reach isolated outposts.

Draw paths for each ship across the treacherous sands, planning carefully to avoid collisions and ensure each ship reaches its goal.

Except when Windows install instructions are: Either use Chocolatey or winget (which most Windows users won't use), or get prebuilt binaries from some random repo and manually install dependencies.

As someone who frequently uses both Windows and Linux, installs are usually easier on the latter.

What's almost clever about this: he has established complaining about games allowing free choices of gender/pronouns/etc as well as about games gender locking roles (locking you into a manly man character is of course fine). This way he can always complain as soon as any character isn't a dude.

The last fight took me quite a bit longer than I expected. I ran out of shards and ended up killing her with only the needle.

Overall a great game with a few hiccups in when it came to pacing, buildcraft and rewards, but outstanding exploration, combat and env. storytelling.

There is only one solution to those that doesnt involve tears.

The amount of times I have taken damage because I dashed/harpooned over an enemy, intending to turn around and hit the enemy, but instead hit in the dash direction, causing me to back into the boss because I didnt get the knockback from hitting them is getting out of hand.

For a character that moves so quickly hornets turn is really slow.

Im now neck deep in act 3 of silk song and I'm enjoying it imensly, but there is one thing that has been frustrating me and it gets worse with every new boss that requires somewhat quick reactions:

Found a proper platforming area =D

Sister Splinter is my favorite bossfight so far.

Like the previous bosses her moves are well telegraphed, few in number and easy to understand.

She does add in what made the arena sections so much harder than the earlier bosses though: giving you multiple foes to juggle. Reminiscent of DS2!

If you attack them from above the timing is much more forgiving. They can block but don't really have any move to retaliate.
Much easier with crests that can attack straight down.

The game went totally smooth for me until I hit that arena.
Tried it 20+ times without success.
I've now finished 3 or 4 more areas and come back a couple of times. Still struggling with particular fight :D
