I hope you aren’t planning any trips to the US soon!

Quips about JD is one thing to get you banned but this surely gets you put in a hole by boarder control.

Given the party's refusal to act on Pochin's brazen racism, it should be as socially unacceptable to vote for Reform as it was in the early 2000s to vote for the BNP.

And we should be prepared to say this to people's faces.

There are one or two questions about Nigel Farage's tax affairs. Some reports say he deliberately avoided stamp duty, others are less sure. I just wonder whether the truth is being witheld from us. I don't know the answer to that, but it is a fair and legitimate question.

It does seem certainly in civil protest cases that civil judges a mixed bag, some achieving balance others hammering protesters into the ground with injunction and contempt.

@davidallengreen.bsky.social article on protest. Judges as the last bastion in protest cases, maybe in crime but in civil a mixed bag, some achieving balance others hammering protesters into the ground.

All the pictures show the exact problem with lime bikes that the uses just dump them, so they obstruct the path. Hopefully the new companies enforce parking them in bays off of pavements.

Legal Aid and the Liberty Gap in Family Enforcement Cases Legal Aid; Family Law; Human Rights; Access to Justice; Civil Liberties; Court Representation;

In family law there should be a right to access legal aid, for the defendant/ Respondent not just in committals but also enforcement under the CA 1989.

I’ve recently restarted in legal aid and after a brutal peer review will leave again.

One example did not read back clients interview. I thought it was a good reason that they had been granted asylum based on our reps prior to receipt of the interview, not to do a read back. Apparently not.

It’s the Licensing Act 2003 that allows the conditions so in theory must mean exclusion without condition if you want to avoid getting picked up for it.

Im pretty sure it is often a license agreement that you do not allow criminal gangs or individuals into licensed places.

No idea about spent convictions etc.

If your pub becomes the haunt of a criminal gang you, will be getting warnings fairly quickly or even emergency orders from the police.
