Yes, local #indie #bookstores are my 1st choice. But there are some books they can't get (tiny presses, self-published) & in those cases, BN is better than Amazon. Some indie bookstore owners have told me they consider BN an ally against AMazon #booksky

"Miss Morgan's Book Brigade" by #JanetSkeslienCharles (a fun way to research my own 4th novel)

I have fun inventing names for the characters in my #novels. (There are reasons why Alice is the protagonist of my newest, HER DAUGHTER, & her mother is Florence & the #organic-bakery owner is Courtney Michaels...) But I have to keep my real name as the author in order to be grounded somewhere!

The other night I dreamed a sentence that could become my 5th #novel (but I have to finish Novel #4 first)

So how's this for 2 very different simultaneous reads: Robert Caro's massive "The Path to Power" (the 1st in his LBJ bio series) and Janet Skeslien Charles's novel "Miss Morgan's Book Brigade" (as research for my novel #4) ?
