#Reading dilemma: I'm halfway thru #RobertCaro's "The Path to Power" (Volume 1 of the LBJ series). Do I finish the remaining 400 pp? Or do I read 2 novels in the time those pp would take?#BookSky

Oh, but close-third person (which is my POV in my novels) gets you right inside the character's head, just as much as first person. I find that first person is too overwhelming! If "I'm" writing this, then I know too much. I like the very slight distance of close-third

If you mean "related to strongly" -- then it's "The Names" by Florence Knapp

Well, #walteri.bksky spoke tonite @ the #NYHistorical & his newest has a lot to say re: the 1st sentence of the Dec of Independence (Example: Jefferson wrote "sacred," Franklin edited it to "self-evident") But I still don't forgive #Isaacson fawning over #ElonMusk

Here's how I juggle #bookstores: Today I bought a #book ("Good Hair Days" by #GraceHelenaWalz ) at my #local #indie #communitybookstore.bsky.social & I also celebrated the reopening of the local #barnesandnoble.com by buying a desk calendar there (which Community Bookstore doesn't sell) #BookSky

So the 1995 #film version of #SenseandSensibility is being re-released, w/ #EmmaThompson #KateWinslet #AlanRIckman & #HughGrant. If only #JaneAusten were alive so we could ask her what she thinks of it! (I suppose she'd hate the idea of a movie... but who knows?) #BookSky #writingcommunity

Hmmm...It's not as though I'm less productive on all Mondays or whatever. Of course it depends partly on my nonwriting schedule, but that can change wk to wk. For me, the opposite tactic works: "force yourself to write 1800 words/day"

Just saw the movie #Nuremberg. Excellent acting & important themes but the problem w/ fictionalized #history is that you don't know which parts to believe. I think I'll stick w/ documentaries from now on #BookSky #writingcommunity

Thanks for your ideas. Is the City Hall station the "ghost" station? Also, speaking of subways, there's the holiday "throwback" train rides every year around Thanksgiving-Xmas where the MTA brings out some classic subway cars you can ride.
