19.02.2026 03:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I drove to Kelowna a couple/three years ago in between Christmas and new years to move my son to Brandon.
In a truck with snow rated tires, and took my time.
Terrifying going west through a blizzard, and almost as bad coming home because my kids were in another vehicle and I was setting the pace
Wasnβt that done recently? Ford vs Ferrari, perhaps π
I havenβt seen it.
I had no real proof of heritage to tell my kids, now they can easily tie to my genealogy

My journey to prove my heritage was a huge slog. Bio mom wasnβt able to sign an affidavit stating who my bio dad was, and bio-dad (Metis heritage guy) refused to.
I wound up having my paternal sister (30 days younger than me) sign it, and it was notarized byβ¦.

I canβt even imagine what itβs like to suffer any kind of hearing loss.
Iβve watched my dad have to, over the past few years, keep turning the TV up, louder and louder. Heβs oblivious to it, though, and never turns the TV back down when he has to answer the phone.
Good to hear.
Whatever it was my dad had took about a week to clear.
His hearing was never great at the best of times though.
I got a little worried about him when he described the dizziness feeling like he was floating in a balloon. He seems totally fine now though.
We can keep up, or we can get run over by it.
