At one grandmother's house, the dishwasher was used to store paper bags, because it sorted them out so neatly. Foil and Saran Wrap etc. on the upper level, for the same reason. Seemed normal-ish to us at the time.

And the next goal is "...to the whims of an employer *or any corporation*." We should own our own identities, including pseudonyms for different spheres of our lives, should we choose.

I dislike the song “Do you hear what I hear?” - repetitive, militaristic, advocates for a king dictating your religion. But mostly because, “A child, a child, shivers in the cold. Let us bring him silver and gold. Let us bring him silver and gold.” Wouldn’t a damn blanket be more appropriate?

I cannot be the only person who is reciting the credits from Monty Python and The Holy Grail in response to this post! Perhaps the Moose has been sacked...

In addition to everything else we will need to do, wearing a salmon as a hat is a reasonable response to this last election. Again, the Orcas lead the way.

Back in the old days, I found that servers responded to offerings of scotch (decent - no need to get fancy) and chocolate. Set them before the needy infrastructure and walk away. Somehow it always seemed to improve things.....

This really is their story in one photo. Dog: I think I'm good. Am I good? I hope I am. Tick: (worries) (worries more). Huck: Photos aren't in my contract, simple peasant woman who feeds me.

Photo of a lab/GSD dog, curled up on two beds stacked in my living room, because the top bed has to be fuzzy. In front of that is a puffy bed for the cats, with a brown tabby Ticklemore looking serious on the left, and my black cat Huckleberry who has turned his back on the whole thing. In the background you can see our olive green couch, but not so well that you can see where past pets have scratched it. There's a lamp, a brown wooden chest thingy, and further back our fireplace. A red cat toy that is super annoying because it makes chirping sounds but is Ticklemore's favorite lies on the floor. For some reason, our floors (wood in front, carpet in the living room behind) and everything else looks clean and fresh. It's really weird.

Piper the dog and Ticklemore (left cat) cooperate in my trying to take a nice photo. Upon seeing me with my phone getting ready to take a photo Huckleberry (right cat. definitely the right cat) turned his back on us, declining to participate in a joint photo. He had no further statement.

Notepad, which I cheerfully use to take notes, make lists, etc now apparently has a spell checker built in. This is a Step Too Far.
