Same. I used to have great conversations with my mum about politics etc. Now it's hard to sustain any conversation at all. It's beyond the stage where I worry about distressing her - she can't understand anyway. 😢

Unfortunately it has been entangled in the political backlash against "woke".

Some perceive the rust community to be "too tolerant" of various minorities.

Others seem to think having a compiler that stops you from misusing memory amounts to a violation of their right to bear arms.

Not a great example - that post is a commentary on corruption rather than the street cost of bread. It can be simultaneously true that a health authority enters into a corrupt agreement and that the local cost of bread is <$1
