Might also mess up screen printed designs, just depends on what type of dye/paint was used.

Might mess with the existing dye though so figure out your risk tolerance level.

Last most drastic option is to use something like synthrapol or similar which is what is used to prepare fabric for dyeing to remove sizing, starching, waxes. It's not great for the environment though.

If that doesn't work you can soak in hot water, detergent, and washing soda but if the t-shirt is a dark color you are going to have some dye loss or color shifting because of the heat so be warned about that. Put in the washing machine afterward without additional detergent but with white vinegar.

22.02.2026 21:55 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

My first and easiest suggestion is have you tried adding a cup of white vinegar to your wash cycle? That really can soften things up but cutting through some chemicals that might be imbedded in the fibers.

Thanks for confirming 100% cotton. Much of the t-shirt market are cotton blends now with lots of deceptive marketing using terms like Comfort Cotton, Cotton Feel, etc. so thanks for confiring.
All textiles have sizing in them now and depending on what it used determines how or if it washes out.

Give me more details and I'll see how I can help. Are these brand new shirts? 100% cotton or blend? Screen printed or just involve dyed color (like stripes). How many times have you already washed them with regular detergent?

What is the discomfort you're experiencing? Is it scratchy? Too stiff?

Karen has no criminal record. She is a grandmother who spent eight years working as an admin assistant at a primary school before her retirement. โ€œI donโ€™t even have parking tickets in the background anywhere,โ€ she says. โ€œI am not a dangerous criminal. I didnโ€™t enter the country illegally and I had everything I needed to be there.โ€

So why did ICE detain her, and keep her locked up for so long? A possible answer began to emerge over the weeks she was incarcerated. As Karen got to know the guards at the Northwest ICE Processing Center where she was held, she kept hearing the same thing from them: that ICE officers are paid a bonus every time they detain someone. โ€œIndividual ICE agents get money per head that they detain โ€“ the guards told me that,โ€ Karen says.

Border Patrol is operating as bounty hunters.

Agents are apparently getting paid for each person they put in detention. Even if those people are grandmothers traveling on valid tourist visas.

No to homilies prepared with Artificial Intelligence The Pope therefore invited the priests to enter into real life and called for vigilance when confronted with artificial intelligence and internet use. He warned against "the temptation to prepare homilies with Artificial Intelligence".
"Like all the muscles in the body, if we do not use them, if we do not move them, they die.
The brain needs to be used, so our intelligence must also be exercised a little so as not to lose this capacity," he said.
Moreover, "to give a true homily is to share faith," and Al "will never be able to share faith," he insisted.
"If we can offer a service that is inculturated in the place, in the parish where we are working, people want to see your faith, your experience of having known and loved Christ."

In Another Break With Trump, Pope Leo Skips U.S. 250th Celebration for Migrant Island As Trump builds his presidency around Americaโ€™s 250th anniversary, the pope heads to Europeโ€™s most symbolic migrant crossing โ€” days after rejecting the presidentโ€™s โ€œBoard of Peace.โ€

NEW: JD Vance flew to Rome to formally invite Pope Leo XIV to join Americaโ€™s 250th anniversary celebration.

The first American pope has declined โ€” days after rejecting President Trumpโ€™s โ€œBoard of Peaceโ€ invitation.

On July 4, heโ€™ll be in Lampedusa, standing with migrants.

All my Minneapolis friends tell me the same thing - ICE has partially shifted into the suburbs with lower population density in hopes of having fewer witnesses. But abandoned cars from kidnappings, getting tailed while dropping kids off at school, death threats for having eyes - all still happening

Two issues I'm pondering. One is that you can't move this many people without inflicting tremendous physical and psychological harm on those deported and on society itself. The second is that left in place for years, mass detention on a whole new level will be normalized. It rarely vanishes. [1/3]
